From figuration to abstraction, I don’t put in front of me any bars, any limit.
From fluidity to opacity, from transparency to thickness of the material, I like to play with the boundaries, inventing the color of light and air, letting see the complexity of the forms that approach those of landscapes, faces and objects. Whether it is the evocation of reality or the expression of emotions and sensations that is the question of time and instant, which I try to highlight. The inner world, I reveal through my drawing and painting, is nourished by observations and issues that I feel are fundamental. I also like to interrogate the paintings of the past and to carry on a dialogue with them. This allows me to take the distance from my work and gives me new freedoms always needed.
